Additional Information

3 things I could not live without:
love, ideas and trees
A bit about me...:
Sustainability is my raison d'entre - as it were. I'm not spiritual, but my veganism and passion for bringing about a more sustainable and humane world drive me.

I have interests in veganism, philosophy, politics, permaculture, music, film, film-making, research, coffee, trees.

One of my favourite things to do is drink coffee in a cafe or on my verandah overlooking the garden with a good book and something nice playing in the air. Company can be nice too - but I'm not big on small talk. I do enjoy a good one-on-one conversation about life, the world, politics, values and ideas.

I'm addicted to my banana smoothies I am a big fan of farmer's markets and wish there were more of them. I haven't had a great deal of success with my garden, so let me know if you have a green-thumb. I love permaculture and hiking in the wilderness, but I am an urbanite at heart. I want to be able to walk or cycle everywhere - to work, to buy the groceries, to the cafe or to the beach
For me the benefits of being vegan/vegetarian are...:
For the sake of the animals, the planet and myself
Funniest/worst comment I regularly hear about being a veggie/vegan...:
"what would you eat if you found out that plants are sentient too?"
I am hoping to meet...:
What I'm looking for really depends on who I meet. I'm up for good conversation over coffee, going to see live music, catching a quirky flick or having a hit of tennis (I'm keen to find a local tennis partner).

I'm keen to meet anyone sharing similar interests - a companion to stimulate the mind, heart and maybe body.
If I could be any animal for a day, I would be a... because...:
A bird, perhaps - as I'd like to see the world from above.
If I won the lottery I would...:
buy up some habitat somewhere. Maybe protecting some orangutan forests in Kalimantan.
My favourite vegan / vegetarian meal is?:
banana smoothies for brekkie, eggplant and chili pizza for dinner
My favourite vegan / vegetarian restaurant is?:
Annalakshmi and the Juicy Beetroot Cafe
My guests (living or dead, actual people or fictional characters) to the ultimate dinner party would include...:
Gandhi, Oscar Wilde, Jane Jacobs, Aldo Leopold and someone special - who I've yet to meet...
My ideal date would be (e.g. candlelit dinner):
coffee with just the two of us.
My ideal vacation would be:
Venice
