|  | | Hello all. I have recently joined the site and was hoping people in/near to Oxfordshire may want to have a meet up. I have recently moved back to the area so thought this may be a good way to meet like minded people nearby. I am thinking in Oxford, maybe a museum/drink by day or a drink in the evening? A weekend day is generally good for me but any suggestions...? |

I would be interested in a meet up in Oxford. I live and work in the city so any time is good for me! It would be great if we could get a group together. I am veggie so don't know much about vegan eating in Oxford - have you discovered The Gardener's Arms yet?

Thank you for your response :) There seems to have been some problems with this thread as i know of a couple people who tried to respond a few times but it did not work?!
I live in Oxfordshire (Bicester) so time is pretty flexible for me too. I haven't been to the Gardeners Arms yet but it's on my to do list so maybe that would be a good place. Have you been?
It definately would be nice to get a veggie group together. There is already Oxford Vegetarians who have meet ups/dining out group so may be worth checking what they are up to aswell
Anyone else interested in joining us?

I have never been to any of the Oxford Vegetarians meetings but actually just emailed them about going to the next dining club meal at Bangkok House on 23rd of May. I seriously need to meet some fellow veggies!
The Gardener's Arms is lovely, really nice food and choices for vegans too. I also really like the Bookbinders in Jericho; their food isn't exclusively veggie but there's a reasonable range for a small pub, including veggie (Cauldron) bangers and mash and a quorn chilli. I don't live in Jericho btw, just a fan of those pubs.... |

| | Okay great, sounds like the Gardeners Arms may be the place to go! I propose evenings of Mon 28th April or Sat 10th May? Later is fine too or a daytime, just trying to get the ball rolling :)
I may also contact OV re the meal on the 23rd, as i have been to a couple in the past and they have been a nice evening. I am not sure if the group are continuing so we shall see.
Just to let you know i havent paid on this site (yet?!) so i cannot send initial emails/send private reply, but can do if you contact me first (private reply) so you can have my email :) I am not very good at forums/lots of emails normally, hence trying to just get a meet up to happen!

| | Hi Lynette and Christina, I have tried to reply to this thread a number of times as well, but nothing showed. I am definitely in for meeting up sometime with you two in Oxford. I can't recommend anywhere though, but as long as it's somewhere mellow and a pint is involved, that would be fine!
The places you've mentioned sound pretty good, so hopefully sometime soon we can meet up.
