Isnt it brilliant when your eating out at a normal resturant and the cheif goes out of the way to prepare you a nice veggie or vegan version of something on the menu. Has this happened to you recently? Maybe we should give them a mention on here for when were eating out with our omni friends in the future.

I went for dinner with my omni friend yesterday. We decided to go to a Turkish place in Cardiff bay called Bosphurus. Its in a fantastic location on the pier of cardiff bay, really nicely decorated inside, brilliant authentic Turkish music playing and tables that give views of the bay all the way round.

So we decide we want the cold and hot platter for just £7.95. There were some meat dishes on there, this platter thing gave you a taste of everything they do, so i asked if they could give him the meat stuff. My friend decided he wanted to go veggie for this meal too, so the waiter instructed the cheif to do two totaly veggie platters for us, he gave us extra bread to cause we were so nice to him and thanking the cheif in his own language which went down well.

I have to give them a mention and recommendation to all the veggies and vegans i know cause the stuffed vine leaves were the nicest id ever tasted and the humous just amazing. Id highly recommend the place to any veggie or vegan eating out with omni or otherwise friends in Cardiff.

I agree Nicedream. The Indian restaurants are good for that too.
It's the English restaurants (and French!) that always seem to be ignorant and unhelpful in my experience.

Glad you had a nice meal.

That's very funny Adam. I think they always appreciate foreigners trying to speak their language, even if they get it wrong.

Were the Rolling Stones good?

Vegan's need to be careful at Indian resturants as a lot of the sauces are made with condensed milk

Adam, I listened to Ronnie Shellist thanks.
That's amazing, he's very talented. If you can get anywhere near that standard then you're doing well.
He has a natural talent and energy that reminds me of Jools Holland when he plays piano. I've seen him live, he was great.
I have to be honest though, if I went to a gig and you were playing next to me, I would find it rather irritating. I can imagine it is a great experience to do it though.

Vix, thanks for that information. I didn't realise they used condenced milk. I will ask next time.

Adam, it does take some dedication to play an instrument well. I play keyboard a bit, learnt classical piano when I was younger but don't play it enough to be good now. I have started playing again though but only for my own pleasure, not for others to listen to. At the end of the day, as long as you enjoy playing it doesn't matter what standard you are.

I'm sure you would stop if I asked, I was only being honest lol.
