I am peaceful, happy and passionate and have a great sense of humour and an inquiring mind. I love the arts and theatre, live music, laughter, trees, desolate beaches, sunset and sunrise, morning dew, mountains and tarns, reading a book by the fire, long walks, reiki, my family and the five individualistic cats with whom I share my home. I am well travelled, always open to new experiences and different cultures and appreciate the simplest pleasures of existence. Funniest/worst comment I regularly hear about being a veggie/vegan... What's a vegan ? I am hoping to meet Someone with a gentle passion for life, a respect for all living creatures and a love of the outdoors ... someone who is intelligent, self confident, compassionate, romantic and loving, gentle, loyal and caring ... someone with a great sense of humour and someone who cherises togetherness. If I won the lottery I would... Buy both coffee and banana plantations in South America to encourage Fair Trade, buy parts of the Amazon to prevent illegal logging, donate to my favourite environmental and animal charities, and buy my mum a bungalow. Bit of a problem though .. I don't usually buy a lottery ticket so I'll just have to hope that someone gives me a million or two instead !! My favourite vegan / vegetarian meal is? Home grown lettuce, tomatos and cucumber with bortelli beans, brown rice, black olives and pesto followed by vegan champagne truffles and a nice bottle of red wine or for a quick snack .. freshly brewed black coffee and home made bread. My guests (living or dead, actual people or fictional characters) to the ultimate dinner party would include... My sister, my nephew and his girlfriend and my best friend Adrian. My ideal date would be (e.g. candlelit dinner) Walk along a wind swept beach ( of which there are many in Cumbria ) followed by a homecooked candlelit vegan meal. My ideal vacation would be I've travelled about a bit so I now prefer to spend time at home or around Cumbria and Northumbria. Saying that, I'd still like to go dolphin and whale watching in The Azores and trecking through the Amazon and Peru which I'm sure I'll get round to one day.
