| 3 things I could not live without | | | great mates, love and light |
| | | A bit about me... | | relaxed enough to just get on with things, contemplative but active, light-hearted and committed, compassionate and no-nonsense, joyful but realistic, honest with tact and a modicum of reserve, hard-working but not always that efficient, serious, contrary & often very silly.
I've recently finished a college course and I'm busy looking for work - nationally. I've recently moved back to the West country, to help me to focus on the more important things in life. I try to get a balance and relax too. I make time to catch up with friends and family - cycling, walking, exploring, cooking, eating, drinking, talking, laughing, playing, singing. I keep up with friends and communicating in whatever way is important to me. I read a lot for pleasure and to have more understanding of the world. |
| | | For me the benefits of being vegan/vegetarian are... | | | contributing to less direct suffering. feeling happier and healthier. |
| | | Funniest/worst comment I regularly hear about being a veggie/vegan... | | said (a good while back) to my mum by a sybil fawlty-esque hotel owner:
"Oh my god! that must be awful for you. I mean my daughter's a vegetarian but vegan? Oh no." |
| | | I am hoping to meet | | | beautiful dreamers, practical activists.. to work with, trust and share a laugh, our hopes and our fears. One day I would like to meet someone special with feet on the ground and head and heart open. |
| | | If I could be any animal for a day, I would be a... because... | | | a lemur - I've always wanted to go to Madagascar & muck about in trees |
| | | If I won the lottery I would... | | | would thank my ma for buying a ticket "for me" and try and talk my dad out of buying his local football team |
| | | My favourite vegan / vegetarian meal is? | | | changes with the seasons, roast root veg from my local farmers' market... |
| | | My favourite vegan / vegetarian restaurant is? | | | rasa - a southern indian restaurant (keralan) in stoke newington, london |
| | | My guests (living or dead, actual people or fictional characters) to the ultimate dinner party would include... | | | Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, Miss Marple, John Peel, Joan Baez, Isabelle Allende, Jeremy Hardy, Bill Bailey, Sandi Togsvik, my brother and some other friends who would appreciate this mix |
| | | My ideal date would be (e.g. candlelit dinner) | | | tempting, but comfortable as well as memorable |
| | | My ideal vacation would be | | | |
