Life is there to be lived and I try to enjoy myself in whatever I am doing. A word that describes me well is "casual". I don´t enjoy formality and wearing suits and ties. :-( People also say I talk a lot - I prefer to say that I am a good conversationalist who can get on with anyone so long as they don´t have a swastika tatooed on their forehead! One dimensional people bore me to death. I am outgoing, confident, open minded, friendly, like to laugh a lot and don´t take myself too seriously. I play guitar and sing(!!!), cook (well) and paint/draw (not so well but enjoy it anyway). I have travelled loads - more than 40 countries I think. I have never stopped to count. I don´t tend to bake on beaches lots - I burn too easily - but I love walking at the beach, swimming in the sea and relaxing in a hammock watching the waves with a cold beer :-) I tend to explore a lot when travelling as well. I love trekking and snorkelling and lazing...... I love food (especially Indian) I am a veggy and also love wine and beer and CHOCOLATE and trying new things. For me the benefits of being vegan/vegetarian are... I have something in common with other people who can think for themselves and I won't catch any crazy cow brain diseases! Funniest/worst comment I regularly hear about being a veggie/vegan... Vegetarians don't get enough protein. (I am 6 feet tall) OR "It's not meat - it's ham" OR "There's only a *bit* of meat in it." I am hoping to meet A woman who is fun!! Sensual, energetic, with lots of interests and lots of her own thoughts and ideas. A woman who can talk about things, who is creative and hopefully loves music. A sense of humour (subtle or otherwise) is important. Age and looks are not so much so as i'm interested in people from all walks of life and the fact that you are interesting is far more important than what sort of car you drive or how much your house is worth. I love to travel (literally and metaphorically) and feel that half the joy is in the journey itself as well as getting there. I like people who have interests that they are passionate about and love to talk about and do. I am very open minded and like open minded people too :-) If I could be any animal for a day, I would be a... because... Dolphin, so I could swim unencumbered through the warm waves off a tropical island. If I won the lottery I would... be very surprised as i've never bought a lottery ticket in my life. If I came in to loads a'£££ throw a party for all my friends around the world and spend my life travelling and making music and pictures. I'd set up trusts for re-forestation and to protect other natural habitats and to do serious research in to autism. My favourite vegan / vegetarian meal is? One shared with good company (and chocolate) My favourite vegan / vegetarian restaurant is? A cheap one with big-belly-bustin' veggie portions! Leicester's veggy Indian reastaurants are great!! My guests (living or dead, actual people or fictional characters) to the ultimate dinner party would include... Jimi Hendrix, Einstein, Kate Winslet, Julia Sawalha, my Nan, John Peel, Eric Morcambe, HG Wells, Joanna Lumley, French and Saunders, Ruby Wax, Katherine Blake from the Mediaeval Baebes... My ideal date would be (e.g. candlelit dinner) A festival, country pub in summer, chatting with red wine around a camp fire, a gig, lazing in a hammock in the sunshine, a hike through the mountains, skinny dipping on a tropical beach...
