| A bit about me... | | MAN WITH TWINKLE IN HIS EYES SEEKS SIMILARLY-ENDOWED FEMALE FOR MUCH MUTUAL TWINKLING...
I signed up to a few dating sites hoping to meet a quirky, musical, SELF-AWARE girl with a great sense of humour, who really wants to relate, but seem to have stumbled in to a succession of either online travel agencies for the persistantly nomadic or extreme sports forums for the terminally reckless...
Girls bungee jumping from every precipice; others, convinced future partner is some kind of aquatic mammal have invested in a wardrobe of specialist rubberwear in which to hunt him down. And apparently the skies over the home counties are black with singletons of both sexes throwing themselves from aircraft to impress potential mates. No wonder some of them are collapsed on the sofa with a bottle of anaesthetic and in need of a cuddle... perhaps they're all auditioning for Blue Peter.
Very playful, often come across as slightly cheeky & irreverent; I tend to say what I think & feel and don't see life as a series of roles that have to be acted out. Don't get excited by big egos, consumerism or sheep-like mentality and find loads of fun in even the ordinary stuff of life. Love observing human beings, have an exciting new future in a very PRACTICAL branch of complementary health, helping other people to let go of their unhappiness, live in the present moment and be aware of exactly how they use their minds & bodies.
Fascinated by melody & harmony, play the piano (showtunes, jazz, soul), love female voices and instrumental music. If you like to sing even a little bit or play an instrument that could be great fun. Into non-religious spiritual teachings, meditation, and will happily chat with anyone, anytime about life, the human condition etc.
Prefer unpretentious environments where we can be ourselves, chat, laugh a lot, and often, somewhere peaceful where we can just BE. Love walking, cycling, swimming, coffee shops, eating out, cooking (been a vegetarian for about as long as I can remember), theatre, live music, movies, cosy weekends away.
You don't have to be the most outgoing thing on the planet. Sometimes I see a pair of wide-awake (usually blue) eyes that just make me melt, usually attracted to girls of small dimensions that I might someday wrap my arms around.
If you punish yourself five days a week on some corporate treadmill that moves money around, then need to spend the weekend in an alcoholic haze in order to recover, we may have some difficulty connecting. I love the occasional drink but honestly, a couple of bottles of organic beer and I'm completely out of my tree, and even in my most lucid state I tend to glaze over during conversations about money or management gobbledegook. However, if you think for yourself, trust your own experience, often find yourself out of step with mainstream opinion and find a lot of things in life very funny, we might never run out of conversation.
Hoping eventually for a relationship full of fun, but more important; unconditional acceptance and love for ourselves, each other and everything (I might always struggle with junk food, 4x4s, Tescos, football and politicians).
Been on my own quite a while now, it'd be great to have someone close again, to share with, care about and, let's face it, there's nothing like a relationship to help us learn and grow... Frankly, if we don't both have stuff we can learn from each other I'm not sure I would see the point of us being together.
And now... I'd love to know about the real you!
Rob
