3 things I could not live without
Music
Books
Being out in the open air!
A bit about me...
Grr i never really know what to write for this ... I live in the New Forest, which is lovely to look at but quite dull if you don't like knitting or fishing. I'm (hopefully!) going to study history at York university next year, and i'm planning on doing the whole Inter-Rail thing round Eastern Europe with my best mates this summer ... as well as going to Reading festival!!! It should be good :-) I love history (obviously!), books, the beach, music, parties, dancing when i think no one's watching, walking in the forest with wellies on, my job (i work in a hippy shop), and travelling (though that sound's more impressive than it actually is - I've been to America and France so far!).
For me the benefits of being vegan/vegetarian are...
I've been veggie for so long I don't miss meat at all really... Obviously I feel less guilty, and I don't have to eat really gross meals that non veggies do just to be polite lol. I also think it's more healthy... and i honestly think it's quite a disgusting concept to kill and eat other animals for food.
Funniest/worst comment I regularly hear about being a veggie/vegan...
From a mate's gran ... "Oh Josie, I know you're vegetarian, so I've done you a veggie pizza ... it's ham and pineapple"!
I am hoping to meet
Fun people! ... someone who would pack a suitcase and run away to India or Mexico with me. Living in your typical small rural town people like that are quite hard to find :-)
If I could be any animal for a day, I would be a... because...
Parrot! Because they can fly, they're brighly coloured, and live in a rain forest!
If I won the lottery I would...
Travel, buy a yurt and a piece of pretty land to keep it and set up a little yurt village! I wouldn't just give it to a charity, I would spend it on immunising people, building schools and wells, or set up a fair trade business.
My favourite vegan / vegetarian meal is?
I'm awkward as I really hate Quorn ... just thinking about it makes me ill lol ... But I love veggie curry, veggie pasta, pizza, mangoes and salad!!
My favourite vegan / vegetarian restaurant is?
I'm too poor to go to many restaurants :-) But our local indian does great veggie currys.
My guests (living or dead, actual people or fictional characters) to the ultimate dinner party would include...
Hmm... difficult! The guy from Tianamen Square, Angela Carter, Warren Zevon, Jane Austen, Pedro Almodovar, Queen Elizabeth I, someone funny like Bill Bailey and Martin Luther King.
My ideal date would be (e.g. candlelit dinner)
Cuba!!! Or failing that, a picnic on the beach or in the woods. Or going to a music festival or something stupid like a windsurfing lesson :-)
My ideal vacation would be
Travelling round the world!! Is that cheating? :-) Then going to Mexico, India, Laos or Vietnam.
