A bit about me...
Down to earth. Open and honest. It's been said that sometimes a bit too honest - well we've all got flaws. I enjoy philosophising and debating 'otherness' and alternative possibilities. I try to meditate. I have an interest in human behaviour especially from a psychological perspective and what makes people tick. Although a deep thinker, I enjoy light heartedness and comfortable laughing at myself and enjoy a good comedy. Quick witted and positive to the core. I love food and I am the one in the kitchen at parties, well veggie parties. I play badminton to a good standard. I am open to try most thinks, morally permitting that is. I enjoy travel, other cultures and will eat anything vegan, although I'm trying more RAW food and enjoying It. I tend to dip in and out of a completely RAW diet. I have many interests and skills and would consider myself independent.
For me the benefits of being vegan/vegetarian are...
reducing suffering, 7 years less time to eventually digest food. Improved health and longivity
Funniest/worst comment I regularly hear about being a veggie/vegan...
FUNNIEST - most meat eaters i meet often say "I don't eat much meat" this always makes me smile as it's so predictable. Oh and "so what do you eat". WORST - "I'm a vegetarian... I only eat fish from time to time"
I am hoping to meet
Open minded and self aware individual preferably vegan or nearly vegan with some commonalities. We can work on the rest
If I could be any animal for a day, I would be a... because...
A tortoise. To understand what slowing down the pace of life is really like and grass is extremely nutritious and it would save me juicing it.
If I won the lottery I would...
Start a mobile juicing outlet. Be self sufficient to support developing countries and support ethically environmentally aware businesses. Develop the pefect non feather shuttlecock. Share it with my friends.
My favourite vegan / vegetarian meal is?
Home grown sprouted seeds and beans. home made wholemeal bread and fresh juiced fruits. And not forgetting the vegan delicacy... chips
My favourite vegan / vegetarian restaurant is?
not much choice locally.
veggie perrins - plymouth
the bean inn - carbis bay
My guests (living or dead, actual people or fictional characters) to the ultimate dinner party would include...
My ideal partner, Sir Francis of Assisi, Buddha, Dr Quantum, Mother Teresa, Satish Kumar, Stephen Simon, Aaron T Beck, a hobit and gandalf.
My ideal date would be (e.g. candlelit dinner)
I don't have a partucular ideal date, however being with nature, home made vegan meal, gentle background music some incence, stimulating conversation and watching the sun go down in a red sky, would be one of many I would enjoy
My ideal vacation would be
Slow boat to china (without the waves) with my ideal partner. Plenty of vegan food and maybe a glass or two of French table wine to clean the palette. The rest we could make up along the way. Take in the local culture for say 3 months, then another slow boat back home. Well that's one holiday. Equally, travelling the uk in my camper with the right person would be ideal. I'm sure we could think of others.
