| A bit about me... |
I'm thoughtful and somewhat introspective, although only part-time. I have a dry sense of humour which materializes when I'm not being serious!
"The good life is inspired by love and guided by knowledge" - this captures the spirit in which I try to live my life.
Three other words or phrases to describe myself: self-effacing, empathetic, good listener.
Amongst other interests, I run long distances and read fairly eclectically. |

| For me the benefits of being vegan/vegetarian are... |
| That I minimise the suffering I cause to other sentient creatures. I believe in the sanctity of life. |
| Funniest/worst comment I regularly hear about being a veggie/vegan... |
"But plants have feelings as well..." No one ever quotes any evidence for this!
"But there won't be any farm animals if we all become vegetarian..." Why would a vegetarian world need farm animals? |
| I am hoping to meet |
You don't have to be a vegan.
Hopefully, you'll have a curiosity about life, the universe and everything.
Other than that... |
| If I could be any animal for a day, I would be a... because... |
| Elephant. Elephants never forget. So if I was going shopping, I wouldn't have to write out a list. They are also vegetarian! |
| If I won the lottery I would... |
| Feel guilty as a I settled in to my mansion in the countryside |
| My favourite vegan / vegetarian meal is? |
| I realise it's a bit of a vegetarian cliche but I like nut roast! |
| My guests (living or dead, actual people or fictional characters) to the ultimate dinner party would include... |
| Jane Austen (remember to sit her next to a man with a good fortune), Issac Newton (note: ask him whether he eats apples), Charles Darwin (sit him between chimpanzee and Jane Goodall), Jane Goodall (mustn't forget to invite chimpanzee to party), Bill Gates (needs to sit next to Jane Austen), Superman (useful if a fight breaks out), Leonardo da Vinci (note to self: get him to autograph copy of Mona Lisa), Woody Allen (ask why his films aren't as funny as they used to be), Whitley Streiber (sit next to Superman) |
| My ideal date would be (e.g. candlelit dinner) |
| A picnic in beautiful countryside on a warm summer's day. |
| My ideal vacation would be |
| Somewhere with lots to do and see. For instance Iceland or Canada. I am not too keen on sunbathing - I don't have the skin for it. |
