| 3 things I could not live without | | | Family, pets, something to do/somewhere to go |
| | | A bit about me... | | I enjoy socialising with friends, going for meals, cinema, listening to live music and going to concerts and local festivals (rock, folk, reggae & world). I love the outdoors and go walking and canadian canoeing. I've also tried some climbing, abseiling, death slide and archery - although more enthusiasm than skill ;) Plus a little salsa dancing.
I also like reading, although it's hard to find the time as I'm currently studying, but favourites include 1984 and Animal Farm (Orwell), LOTR, H Potter, and Nelson Mandella's autobiography.
I'm currently a postgrad student (research scholarship) in environmental science/management. My priorities are family and friends, finishing my studies, and being happy (whilst trying to treat other people as I would like to be treated). |
| | | For me the benefits of being vegan/vegetarian are... | | | For the animals and the environment, plus a clearer conscience and better health for me. |
| | | Funniest/worst comment I regularly hear about being a veggie/vegan... | | | | | I am hoping to meet | | | Someone kind and honest, family-orientated, and interested in environmental and social issues. Tries to look on the bright side of life, with a sense of humour/ability to laugh at oneself. Some similar interests, or perhaps willing to try something new. |
| | | If I could be any animal for a day, I would be a... because... | | | An orangey-tangy (or orang-utan to anyone else), because I just love them |
| | | If I won the lottery I would... | | | Be extremely surprised, as I don't buy it. However, if I did, I'd buy my dream home and take some time out to travel. |
| | | My favourite vegan / vegetarian meal is? | | | Chinese, summer fruits... oh yes, and of course chocolate |
| | | My favourite vegan / vegetarian restaurant is? | | | Nutters in Elburton (which is sadly no more) |
| | | My guests (living or dead, actual people or fictional characters) to the ultimate dinner party would include... | | | My ancestors, Gandhi, William Wilberforce, Emmaline Pankhurst (Suffragete), George Orwell, Geoge Bernard Shaw, Marx, Goethe, Captain Jack Sparrow, Bon Jovi... and J K Rowling, to find out the plot to her charity prequel. |
| | | My ideal date would be (e.g. candlelit dinner) | | | | | My ideal vacation would be | | | |
