3 things I could not live without:

A bit about me...:
Freudians must feel vindicated as I am a son-of-a-butcher. Really. It was the family business which I let go of as soon as possible after my father died. I live in a remote, romantic, gothic castle on the wild Atlantic coast of, er, West London. I am a well-educated, professional in the caring field. That's just next to the cabbage field, by the way. I have travelled widely in Europe, India and the Middle East - sometimes by bike. I've lived some, laughed some, loved some, left some and had my heart broken by some. Musicwise, I''ve got pretty eclectic tastes, with a preference for blues rock (Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, Rory Gallagher, Walter Trout, Roy Buchanan). Also some folk, trad, classical, punk, etc (Levellers, Alabama 3, Frank Zappa, Christy Mooore, SOM, etc.) Done some animal rights activism. Politically I'm broadly green/left/ liberal (note lower case) with a dash of red & black ! I ride a couple of bikes, mainly a Night Train (Harley-Davidson). I am not in to organised religion but I love the vibe from Buddhism for its compassion & from Wicca for its love of Nature (or maybe I just like takin' my clothes off & dancin' naked in the woods !). I am very interested in personal growth. That journey is as exciting (as scary ?) as any road trip. I stopped doing drink & drugs 25 years ago. I'm tolerant of those who enjoy themselves that way as long as no one is harmed. Nature stirs something deep & pagan within my spirit. I love trees, mountains, lakes, beaches, the sky, more trees please, the sea, clouds, gazing at the planets, did I mention trees? I've got a soft spot for choc-chip cookies too. Fave movie = Wild at Heart. I'm quite fit & trim. Currently I'm wearing an off-the-shoulder cerise sequined evening gown by Karl Lagerfeld. No I'm bloody not! Usually found in Levis & t-shirt. I've got several artistic tattoos many of which I had a hand in designing myself. In addition to my day job, I am also qualified as an alternative health practioner (ask me more). And that is my age ! All photos are recent.
For me the benefits of being vegan/vegetarian are...:
I'm not involved in the killing of animals for meat. I am not part of the destruction of the planet for the purpose of rearing livestock
Funniest/worst comment I regularly hear about being a veggie/vegan...:
Fish is ok for vegetarians ! ! !
I am hoping to meet...:
I would love to meet an independent, intelligent, educated, witty, sexy, beautiful, creative loyal and kind woman to my friend, lover and ally. A lover of nature is a must. It would be great if you enjoy adventurous travel also. Broad ideological compatability is fairly important too. Openmindedness on a spiritual level as well an on more general level is also welcome.
If I could be any animal for a day, I would be a... because...:
Andean condor - for the views !
If I won the lottery I would...:
Disburse the winnings according to a detailed table I drew up many years ago which specifies the exact percentage (or portion of a percentage)to be alloctaed to each recipient. One third of the money is to be divided between several causes and charities.
My favourite vegan / vegetarian meal is?:
Vegetable thali.
Though Sainsbury's do a tasty Sag Paneer ready meal.
My favourite vegan / vegetarian restaurant is?:
Anthony's Tourist Inn, Midigama, Sri Lanka.

Diwana Bhel Poori House

Indian Veg 92-93 Chapel Market, London

My guests (living or dead, actual people or fictional characters) to the ultimate dinner party would include...:
The Dalai Llama, Aung Suu Kyi, WB Yeats, Nelson Mandela, John Pilger, Lennie Bruce, The Dubliners, Walter Trout, Oscar Wilde, Tony Benn, Finn McCool, Mary Robinson, William Shakespeare, Mary Gauthier, Dave Allen, Spike Milligan, Mae West, Murray Bookchin, Jimi Hendrix and a small number (three or four) of interesting, entertaining, witty friends and acquaintances
My ideal date would be (e.g. candlelit dinner):
We would go for a long, slow ride on my bike to a lake I know where nobody goes. I would serenade you by the water's edge with a song I'd just written for you. You would piss yerself laughing at me as I am tone deaf and you'd fall about laughing so much that you'd fall in the lake. Getting things back on track romantically, I'd jump in to rescue you, notwitstanding that my swimming is only marginally better than my singing. Fortunately the water is very shallow and we'd scramble to safety and I would then whisk you off to my castle so we can get out of our soaking clothes. A fire is blazing in the open hearth in the main banquetting hall. A great deep pile rug is spread out before the glowing fire. Candles flicker, casting soft shadows on the walls and deep purple drapes. I've fed the dragons and given the servants the night off. Actually, I fed the servants to the dragons who, sadly, are not vegetarian. But that's our secret. Wake up ! Back on planet Earth, we would go to a good Indian veggie restaurant with soft lights and low music to facilitate relaxed conversation. To be really honest, I would prefer a daytime meal as there seems to less pressure. If we clicked we could then go for a walk in the park or by the river. And if we still got along we could arrange a second date.
My ideal vacation would be:
I've probably done it already (motor biking around Sri Lanka). Next up would be (will be)Manali to Leh by motorbike
