| | It seems to be a shame that the blog section on the site is not more obvious. When I looked the last entry was way back in March (I think). Some people, such as Badgerman wrote fascinating entries with beautiful photos.
Hopefully it maybe something that Simon and Chris can consider for this new year. Maybe the more people who add a comment to this discussion, the more likely this may happen!
Anyway, here's a happy twenty-ten to everyone!!! |

| | Vish, as you are no longer a site member you may not get to see this, but if you happen to be visiting as a non-member I thank you for your kind words about my blog.
I enjoyed writing my blog entries and taking and sharing the photos that went with them. However it was a real shame when the VR site was revamped and the links to the latest forum posts and blog entries, which used to appear in the right-hand margins of every page, disappeared. It meant that people were not aware when new blog entries were posted and I got the feeling that very few people were reading them any more. Then life took a turn for the worse and I have been away from VR for quite some time.
I seem to be having one of my better spells at the moment and have recently started a new blog over at Wordpress as Brockwatcher (where I am recycling some of my old VR blog entries as well as writing new stuff!). I will probably add some entries to my blog here too from time to time, just in case anyone happens to take a look at my profile and then decides have a peek at the blog. Having started the blog as a paid-up member I found that I could still add to it when I went back to being a free member, so I suppose I should make use of the facility!
Oh and yes, the forum could definitely do with being more user-friendly. It does appear to have been coded in-house so it lacks a lot of the features that people would expect if they have used forums elsewhere. But given that this is really a dating site, I guess we should be grateful for the 'social networking' elements, like the blogs and forums, that are here for us to use, even if they aren't quite what we would hope for!
Now to check this post for typos etc before I click 'submit' as I know I won't be able to edit it afterwards..... |

| | | It did used to be, I must admit i had to search to find what used to be more accessible. Simon and pals must have a good reason for it though.... |
