A bit about me...:
I love fiction and like to write stories that I hope one day people will be dumb enough to spend a lot of money on so I can build a solid gold palace. I went to uni in a quiet town on the Welsh coast called Aberystwyth but I currently live out my mortal days in the realm of Birmingham. I’d love to live in Reykjavik or Toronto one day and travelling all over the world is something I'm eager to do as soon as possible. My ideal night would either be going out on an adventure or staying in bed and playing Street Fighter, listening to records, eating myself into a coma and drowning myself in more cups of tea than a human being should physically be able to consume.

I like so many writers and at the moment. I'm into anything by Charles Bukowski, Robert Jordan, George R. R. Martin, Stephen King, William Gibson, Bret Easton Ellis, Nick Hornby and Haruki Murakami. I'm not sure I could even begin to go into my list of favourite writers as I'd be here all day. As for music I could discuss it for hours too and eternally list off bands so I'll just say I like everything including but by no means limited to post-rock, shoegaze, post-hardcore, hip-hop, punk, metal (in all of its forms), emo (of the 90's variety) and hardcore.

A tiny cross section of my iPod would look a little like this: La Dispute, City and Colour, Deafheaven, Slowdive, Neutral Milk Hotel, Oathbreaker, American Football, Basement, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Title Fight, Empire! Empire! ( I Was A Lonely Estate), Nai Harvest, Have Heart, Thrice, Deftones, The World Is A Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid To Die, AFI, The Antlers, Trapped Under Ice, Rival Schools, Faith No More, Mogwai, Sigur Rós, Tigers Jaw, Daylight, Gorilla Biscuits, Balance And Composure, Touché Amoré, Cap'n Jazz, Into It. Over It, Mineral, Pixies, Sonic Youth, Pity Sex, The Smashing Pumpkins, Against Me!, Ride, Sunny Day Real Estate, Lifetime, Brand New, At The Drive-In, Backtrack, Pianos Become The Teeth, Braid, Alkaline Trio, Trapped Under Ice, Harm's Way, Citizen, Embrace, Loma Prieta, Self Defense Family, Ten Yard Fight, Alexisonfire, Black Flag, Agnostic Front, Misfits etc... Basically if it's heavy, ambient, or cringey and sad I'll probably listen to it. I like a whole lot of TV shows like American Horror Story, Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, Suits, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, Archer. The usual stuff. My favourite comedy series' of all time are Peep Show and Garth Marenghi's Darkplace. I'm a big movie fan too (but who isn't?) I'm into anything with a good story really and sci-fi is probably my favourite genre. North By Northwest is my all time favourite film. Can't beat the classics.

I'd consider myself easy to talk to and I don't take life too seriously so feel free to message me. If you're opinionated with strong convictions, a fiery personality and you can make me laugh then I'll want to talk to you. I find that self-assuredness and confidence are the most attractive qualities a person can possess. Upbeat cynicism and an optimistically bleak world view are welcome. I have no time for anything other than straightforwardness, honesty and simplicity.
For me the benefits of being vegan/vegetarian are...:
I'm vegan because I believe in autonomy for all living beings. It would be hard to advocate this belief system while still contributing to a corrupt, non-consensual, cruel and environmentally unsustainable system such as the meat/dairy industry that sees other animals as simply a means to an end. Animals aren't mass produced objects. For me, veganism isn't about compassion. That should be a given. It's about respect for somebody else's life.
Funniest/worst comment I regularly hear about being a veggie/vegan...:
"What do you even eat?"
"But... Bacon!?"
"Do you get enough protein?"
"I eat meat but I'm still an animal lover."
I am hoping to meet...:

If I could be any animal for a day, I would be a... because...:
If I could be an animal for a day I'd be a beluga whale because they always seem to have a smile on their face.
If I won the lottery I would...:
Buy a hell of a lot of records, invest in some animal charities, travel the world, self publish a lot of my own work and open a vegan restaurant/music venue.

My guests (living or dead, actual people or fictional characters) to the ultimate dinner party would include...:

My ideal date would be (e.g. candlelit dinner):
I quite like going for tea/coffee and talking, going to the Birmingham museum/ art gallery and hanging out in the Birmingham library rooftop garden and looking at the city skyline and if that's all too lame, I guess going for a few drinks works too. I'm open to breaking my comfort zone on the first date front. Something quirky and different would be nice.
My ideal vacation would be:
Reykjavik, Icleand.
