Additional Information

3 things I could not live without:
Air, water, belief in a future
A bit about me...:
I try to tread lightly on this beautiful Earth in the hope that my small contribution will help things along, but I do tend to accumulate things. I live in an old clay-worker's house - a 'work in progress'. I try with varying degrees of success to grow some of my own food...
For me the benefits of being vegan/vegetarian are...:
knowing that I am doing my best to try to avoid taking life, coupled with a feeling of lightness, wellbeing and gratitude.
Funniest/worst comment I regularly hear about being a veggie/vegan...:
is nothing specific, but I find it hard when I am regarded as strange because I choose to try to live compassionately.
I am hoping to meet...:
someone who is honest, warm, generous, compassionate and vegan (preferably high raw); is a non-smoker and cares about being healthy and living lightly; honours his parents (or their memory); can both laugh and be serious; can both listen and share his feelings; has a sense of adventure and is always learning; above all, someone with whom I can be myself, grow and learn.
If I could be any animal for a day, I would be a... because...:
compassionate cat... cats seem to have the ability to live fully in the moment (but I wouldn't want to be killing for pleasure or for food)
If I won the lottery I would...:
be extremely surprised as I don't gamble.
My favourite vegan / vegetarian meal is?:
fresh, raw, local and organically grown.
My favourite vegan / vegetarian restaurant is?:
not one that I know of personally, but it would serve fresh, local, raw, organically grown, lovingly prepared food served in a relaxed, peaceful and welcoming environment.
My guests (living or dead, actual people or fictional characters) to the ultimate dinner party would include...:
Anita Roddick, Thich Nhat Hanh, Annie Lennox, Gandhi, Aung San Suu Kyi, Caroline Lucas, Uri Avnery, Helen Moore, my grandmother Sophie, Isaac Bashevis Singer, Caitlin & Sika and all of Seize the Day.
My ideal date would be (e.g. candlelit dinner):
a walk or a cycle ride in the countryside, a picnic beneath the trees and beside the water, and dancing outside in the moonlight.
My ideal vacation would be:
travelling by train, then walking or cycling, camping and visiting interesting places. It would be a rewarding challenge to travel to far-flung countries by train.
